3. Expert sessions

What are Expert Sessions?

In an Expert Session, your students gain feedback on their app idea, and guidance on how it can be improved, from a technology professional.

The majority of sessions are conducted remotely via Skype or Google Hangout, but some are held in person, and they typically last one hour.

Our community of 800+ Experts are passionate about technology education, and have signed up to volunteer their time and pass on their expertise to your students as they develop their apps.

You can quickly book an Expert Session through your dashboard. Simply select the topic, date, and time you wish to hold the session on, and one of our 800+ Experts will sign up to mentor your students - it’s as easy as that!

Why should I hold an Expert Session?

Here are a couple of great reasons to hold Expert sessions:

  1. Students love it! Collaborating with a tech professional excites and motivates students to engage with the course, and to explore careers in technology. Students also value the fact that experts from the “real world” take their ideas seriously and want to help.

  2. Provides strong direction to students for their app ideas, and builds a deeper understanding of the app development process. Many educators site Expert sessions as the key to helping students improve their apps.
